Prayers

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus Christ;

I humbly and fearfully come to you. I accept you as Lord and Savior of my life. I believe in you. I want to trust in, rely on, and cling to you for everything in my life.

I believe that you are God, that you were born of a virgin, and you came in the flesh and walked on earth. You died for my sins on the cross, and on the third day you rose from the dead. I believe that you died for my sins, and because you died I can live with you for all eternity.

I repent of my sins. I want to turn from my sins and get my life in line with your will.
Forgive my unbelief in you and the Bible. Forgive me for not loving you or others.
Forgive my anger, my lust, my greed, my laziness, and my pride.  Cleanse me and wash me clean. Restore and renew my life.

Make a new creature of me.
Show me your ways.
Fill me with your love.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Open my eyes and ears that I might see and hear You.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Our Prayer for You

Ever since we first heard about you we have kept

on PRAYING and

ASKING God to help you understand

what He wants you to do.
ASKING Him to make you wise about spiritual things: and
ASKING that the way you live will always please

the Lord and honor Him,

So that you will always be doing good,

kind things for others,
While all the time you are learning

to know God better and better.

We are PRAYING too, that you will be filled with His mighty, glorious strength

so that you can keep going no matter what happens—

always full of the joy of the Lord, and

always thankful to the Father

who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the Kingdom of light.

For He has rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of Satan’s kingdom and

brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.
Who bought our freedom with his blood and

forgave us all our sins.

Colossians 1:9-14

Paul prayed these verses for the church of Colosse.

They are so awesome that we have prayed them for the world of cowboys for the last fifteen years.

Let’s look closer at them for a moment.

In our prayers for the world of cowboys we have asked God to do many things for you.  A few that these verses mentioned are:

1.    Asking God to help you understand what He wants you to do.

2.    Asking God to make you wise about spiritual things.

3.    Asking God that your lives would please and honor God.

  •     So that you will do kind and good things for others.
  •     So that you will be getting to know God better and better.

4.   Asking that you will be filled with God’s mighty, glorious strength.

  •      So that you can keep going no matter what happens.
  •      So that you will always be filled with the joy of the Lord.
  •      So that you will always be thankful to God because

5.    He has made each of us fit to share all of God’s blessings.

6.    He has rescued us from the darkness and gloom of Satan.

7.    He has brought us into the Kingdom of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

  •    And Jesus bought this freedom from Satan with his blood.
  •    And Jesus forgave us all our sins.

Pretty Cool, what God wants for us isn’t it?  We pray you will open your heart and receive what God wants to give you.

Recommitting

my Life

to

Jesus Christ

Heavenly Father, hear my prayer as I humbly come to You.  Lord I want to reconfirm my faith in You.  Jesus Christ I rededicate my life to You!

Jesus, You are my Lord and Savior.  I believe You were born of a virgin and came to earth as an example of how I should live.  You also came to save me from my sins and to give me eternal life.  I believe that Jesus, You are all God and all Man.  You died on a cross and came back to life in three days.  I believe John 3:16 that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him would have eternal life.

I am a sinner.  I have messed up so many times, and I am sorry.  I know that all perfection in my life comes from the power of Your Holy Spirit working within me.  Forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.  Your word says if I confess my sins, You are faithful to forgive me and to cleanse me of all unrighteousness.  Thank you for forgiving me.  The Bible also tells me that I must forgive others for you to forgive me.  Lord, forgiveness is very hard for me, because many people have hurt me and my family.  But let us remember Lord that many people hurt You and You forgave each of them.  So give me the strength, Your Strength, and Your Love so that I might forgive as You forgive.  Free me from bitterness and anger for those who hate us.  You died for them and You love them, Help me Lord, Help them Lord.

Your word tells us in Romans 8:1 that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  What an awesome promise.  Lord, no matter what I have done, You will not condemn me, because I have come to the foot of the Cross and repented.  This is too good, and is so hard to believe.  Help me to believe this.  Help me to not condemn myself.  Help me Lord; remind me Lord, that when I am tempted to condemn myself it is not from You.  It is a trick of the enemy.  Give me the strength to recognize the lie and to live in the freedom You died to give me.  You came to set me free.  I want Your Freedom in every area of my life.

You died to give me peace, peace with You and peace of mind.  (Romans 5 and John 14)  Thank you that this is a first step to realizing a life of peace.  I want Your Peace, totally.  I want Your Peace to saturate my soul, my mind, my body, and my spirit.

Thank you Lord that You are my Heavenly Father and I can call You Daddy.  (Romans 8)  Thank you that You love me.

Teach me and help me to receive Your Love.

Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit.  It is truly Your glory and Your Holy Splendor living in me.  Let me let You take control and fill me with the power to love as You love.  Thank you for the words in Isaiah 57 that says "For this is what the high and lofty One says—he who lives forever, whose name is holy:  I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite."

Help me O Lord to be excited for all that, You have planned for me.

It is in the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen
