  New Testament                                        Philippians 4

Needing God's Peace

#30--Steps to Peace

DEAREST [NAME]

Let us pray from Philippians 4 for you and for me.

Heavenly Father,

We come to You this day, mindful of our terrible need for You and for Your love.
We ask that You would pour out Your love on us and let us feel the comfort of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, Your word says to always be full of joy in the Lord.

You want us to rejoice in You.

Lord, give us that joy.

Protect that joy; please don't let the devil steal it from us.

Lord, let everyone see that we are considerate in all that we do.
Let us remember that You are coming soon.

Your word commands us to not worry about anything; instead pray about everything.
Lord, teach us to be prayer warriors.

We worry when we are not trusting you.

We forget you are in control and you are our loving, gentle Father who can do anything.

Forgive us for not trusting You.

Philippians 4 says to tell You what we need and thank you for all You have done.
Lord, we need YOU, more of YOU, to be filled with YOU.

We need our faith increased, please Lord, increase our faith until all doubt is gone.

We thank You for everything You have done for us and all that You want to do for us and in us.

Lord, free us from worry, encourage us to pray, let us have an attitude of gratitude.

Your Word then promises that we will then experience Your peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.

Your peace will guard our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.

Help us to live in Christ.

Lord we need Your strength and Your filling of the Holy Spirit

to be able to fix our thoughts on what is true and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable.

Help us to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Help us to keep putting into practice all that we have learned and received from You.
May we be guarded and protected by Your peace.
May we be a blessing to YOU.  We thank You and praise You for loving us.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray.   Amen.

With God’s love,  Judy
