#35--Steps to Peace

​Please replace your name wherever you see (NAME)

DEAREST [NAME],

 

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father,
We come to You today with thanksgiving in our hearts. 

We thank You for the way that You have been restoring [NAME]. 

Thank You Lord, for giving her life back.

But Lord, I come to You now and ask that You would finish the work of restoration in [NAME]'s mind. 

We ask by the power of the name of Jesus and the power of the blood of Jesus that the nightmares would stop. 

We ask that by Your power You would give her dreams; dreams of You, dreams of peace.

 

In Psalm 17 it says, O Lord, hear our pleas for justice. 

Listen to our cry for help. 

Pay attention to our prayer, for it comes from honest lips. 

Lord we are praying to You because I know You will answer, O God.  Bend down and listen as we pray.

 

Show [NAME] your unfailing love in wonderful ways. 

Give her peace as she sleeps. 

By Your mighty power rescue her for she seeks refuge in You. 

O Lord, let [NAME] only see in her mind the beauty of her life. 

Only You Lord can do this for [NAME]. 

Free her from this any oppression.

 

In Psalm 16, David asks for You to keep him safe. 

Keep [NAME]'s mind safe as she sleeps. 

It also says that Lord, you alone are our inheritance,

You are our cup of blessing, You guard all that is mine. 

It says the land You have given us is a pleasant land. 

What a wonderful inheritance!  

Guard everything about [NAME]; please guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. 

And then in Psalm 16:7-8, it says this and we want to claim this for [NAME]. 

We want You to instruct her as she sleeps. 

We want the nightmares to be gone and her sleep to be all about You.
[NAME] will bless the Lord who guides her, even at night her heart will instruct her of the things of God. 

The things of evil shall have no place in her mind.

[NAME] knows that you O Lord are always with her, she will not be shaken for You are right beside her.

Lord, work mightily in [NAME]'s life, finish the work, restore her mind.  Give her peace as she lays down to sleep.
