​Please put your name wherever you see (NAME)

DEAREST [NAME]

This might throw you for a loop but I want to pray with you for those who have hurt you. This is huge in your healing process.  We must forgive those who have hurt us. 

​

The Bible tells us:

“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. 
But I (Jesus) say, love your enemies! 
Pray for those who persecute you!

In that way, you will be acting as true children of Your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:44

Heavenly Father,

We lift those who have hurt (NAME) up to You this morning. 

How evil and destructive these people have been and Your Word says that You still love them. 

How incredible, Lord, is Your patience and perseverance with us, Your children. 

​

We pray, Lord, that these people would turn their eyes and hearts to You. 

We pray that they would die to self, that they would humble themselves before Your throne.

Pride is one of the sins keeping others from turning to You. 

Your Word promises that pride destroys.

The devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour, whom he can destroy. 

People are destroyed because of their arrogance, anger, bitterness, and hatred.

Lord we ask, by the power of Your name and the power of Your blood to bring these people to You. 

Heal them Lord.

Help [NAME] and I to forgive them for the horrible things they have done and said. 

How hurtful the words from their mouths have been to [NAME].

Lord, I ask of You, if these people are not going to repent then keep their evil words from [NAME]. 

You know, O Lord, the anguish that [NAME] has lived. 

You also know O Lord, that [NAME] longs for more of You and more of Your love. 

She longs to be filled continuously with Your hope and Your peace and Your joy. 

Restore this to her Lord.

Lord, by choice, I choose to forgive all who have hurt me. 

It is an act of my will.  Free me now from the torment and bitterness that has been harbored in my heart. 

You forgave those that hung You on the cross, those who wanted You dead because of jealousy.

I choose to follow Your example, Lord Jesus, and forgive those who have hurt me.

[NAME], has been one of Your hurting daughters for a long time. 

Please Lord stop the pain in her life. 

Put a hedge of protection around her and keep her in Your refuge. 

Let no evil befall her for she is in Your protection, in Your refuge.

We love You Lord, and ask by the mighty name of Jesus for You to fulfill this in [NAME]'s life. 

And please draw the people that have hurt her to You also.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen
