Old Testament

God has great things in store for each of us.  When I first became a Christian a lady gave me this picture of God and his plans.  “When we get to heaven there may be garages, a huge garage full of presents for each and every person.  When each of us sees the garage of presents and we ask God who were those for, He says, “You!  I wanted so much to give them to you. You didn’t get them because of your lack of faith and obedience.”

Read these three Bible verses to confirm what this lady said.

Deuteronomy 26:16-19 says,

“Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations.  So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly.  You have declared today that the Lord is your God.  And you have promised to walk in his ways, and to obey his decrees, commands, and regulations, and to do everything he tells you.  The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands.  And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown.  You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised."

Unfortunately, some of us are missing the mark of what God intended for our lives.  We can be our own worst enemy!  We have chosen to go it alone and be our own boss.  We don’t like taking orders and have ignored God and his wishes.

So, what can we do about it?  This is one of the most exciting things about God.  He is merciful and gracious.  He doesn’t give us what we deserve and He is always ready to give us another chance.

Romans 8:28 says that “All things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

Acts 3:19 says, "Repent then and turn to God, so that your sins may be forgiven, and times of refreshment may come from the Lord.”

God is so loving and so merciful that He will forgive us over and over and over.  When we are true and honest with Him, He just stoops down to help us.

If you know something is missing in your life and you want more, turn to Him now.

We are here to give you HOPE.  The hope of Jesus Christ is awesome and real.  We at Western Meadows believe that the life of rodeo was created by God.  We believe that God wants us to enjoy the life He has given to us.  God has a plan for each of our lives—a plan for good and not for destruction.  God did not set us on this rodeo road to destroy us but to give each of us an abundant life.  May we see God’s plan in this crazy world we live in!
